ACC Summer Social • Tranquility Vineyards

Sometimes the best collaborations begin with a simple conversation.

This summer, members, associates, and friends of the Arts & Culture Collaborative (ACC) came together at Tranquility Vineyards in Middlebury for an evening dedicated to just that—conversation, connection, and community.

Following ACC’s Governing Council meeting on July 28, we traded the meeting table for the relaxed atmosphere of the vineyard, giving members an opportunity to catch up, meet new faces, exchange ideas, and learn more about the creative work happening throughout our region.

Building Connections Beyond the Meeting Room

Bringing people together is at the heart of what ACC does.

Our network includes artists, performers, arts organizations, cultural institutions, businesses, community leaders, and individuals who believe in the importance of a thriving creative community. While our programs and communications help connect that network throughout the year, there is something particularly valuable about getting together in person.

The conversations may be informal, but the connections can lead to new partnerships, shared resources, creative ideas, and opportunities to support one another.

And judging by the conversations happening around the room at Tranquility Vineyards, there were plenty of connections being made!

A Year of Connecting

Our Summer Social continued the energy from ACC’s Annual Meeting on April 15 at Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury, where members gathered for the election of officers and Governing Council members, followed by a lively networking exchange. (See separate news story for details.)

As ACC Administrator Diane Ploch shared, “We are looking forward to deepening community connections to the arts as we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year!”

That spirit of connection will continue to be an important part of our work as ACC celebrates 20 years of creative impact across the Greater Waterbury region.

ACC is more than a network of individual artists and organizations. We are a creative community—and we are stronger when we connect.

Here’s to more conversations, more collaborations, and more opportunities to create together!
