Young Artists (Grades 1-2)

Monday-Friday, July 24-28, 10:45 am-12:15 pm
Students will learn to “notice, wonder, and predict” through viewing art and then making their own masterpieces. A different art style will be explored each day (Impressionism, Hudson River School, Surrealism and more) followed by drawing, painting and creating a collage and mobile. The students will enjoy a daily scavenger hunt by looking at images of paintings and artwork to find shapes, textures, colors and objects. Please wear old clothes. At the completion of this workshop, parents will be provided with a list of local CT museums to see these famous artists’ works in person.
