Writing Memoir: Let’s Begin

Are you interested in writing your story but not sure how to begin? Or do you have stories started that you’d like to develop? This class will launch your memoir-writing journey.

This class is designed for those who would like to get their own stories down on paper. Through writing exercises and discussion, students will delve into the themes, times, places, and people of their lives. From this material, stories will be developed.

If you already have started a story or stories, this class will help you shape them and discover threads within them that deepen their meaning and their impact on the reader. Students will leave class with a draft of at least one story, and ideas for more.

Students will write during class and have at-home assignments. All levels of writers are welcome.
