Experience the joy of watercolor painting! In this two week online class, students will be expertly guided through the process of watercolor painting.
Class will be taught through a mix of shared slides and demonstrations while you follow along and practice the immediate technique in the comfort of your home studio. Questions are welcomed and enrich everyone’s experience. Each class day will be a mix of techniques and practice together.
Register directly with the artist. Pre-Payment (required) may be made by cash, check or Venmo (Venmo: please use date of first class to avoid paying additional fees). A link to our class will be emailed to registered students. Min. 3 students for class to be a GO!
Please download the Zoom app onto your device PRIOR to the first class. A secure link will be emailed to registered students prior to the first class.
Recommended materials to gather:
Watercolor paper: 9×12″ or 11×15″ are good sizes – Can be found at Michaels or any art supply store. Strathmore 300 or 400 pound cold press recommended.
Assortment of brushes – various sizes and types. (ShawnaLee loves her “mops” size 2 & 8, a liner size 2, and acrylic round #2, and a 1” flat house painting brush).
Watercolor paints – Tube (palette needed) or solid cake; Good options include Koi, Winsor & Newton,
Pencil and kneaded eraser (choose Generals,
Paper towels; a pinch of salt; wax (can be candle, crayons, oil pastels), small bit of plastic wrap/bubble wrap, natural sponges, old toothbrush or other stiff brush,
Collection of fall foliage leaves to admire!
