The Eastern Coyote

There are few species in North America as misunderstood and maligned as the coyote. Yet to many, they are a symbol of resilience and a subject of admiration, a North American mascot and vital member of our ecological team. Please join us for guest speaker Dana Goin’s talk about eastern coyotes, their history and ecology, and what we can do to best coexist with them. Attendees will come away with a better understand the behavior and benefits of the eastern coyote and how to empower our community with the tools, information, and resources we require to peacefully coexist with this misunderstood predator.

Dana Goin is the Wildlife Outreach Specialist at the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NY, a not-for-profit environmental educational organization. She holds a degree in Wildlife Conservation, and has worked in various areas around the country studying large and mid-sized carnivores including mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats, and raccoons.
