Summer Open Mic Night Series

We invite you to perform or just come to listen to acoustic music, poetry and spoken word at the Afro Caribbean Cultural Center – Refreshments will be provided starting at 6:00pm followed by performances at 6:30pm.

Information for Performers

If you wish to perform, please sign up online at least one day before the event by emailing info@taino-nation.org, Include the following:
– Names of all performers in your group
– Type of performance (eg. folk guitar, jazz ensemble, poetry, comedy, story, etc.)
– One or two sentences that can be used to introduce you or your group

Performers can also sign up at the event before 5:45 pm if there are still spaces available.

Each performer will have up to 5 minutes to perform one musical number, poem, or other routine. Depending on attendance, performers may have the option of performing a second number.

Information for Audience Members
– Everyone is invited to enjoy this evening of music and entertainment. Please bring your friends and family to support our local performers. A social gathering begins at 6:00 pm followed by the performances which begin at 6:30 pm.
– Donations are welcomed (Not Required) – a passing of the hat ceremony will take place to raise funds for the ACCC/bring any guest poets, musicians etc.
