“Learn techniques and strategies of sketching the face and human form using pens and watercolors quickly and efficiently. Learn to sketch people fast and loose with a watercolor wash at events, coffee shops or where ever you use a journal. Bring a snack. ”

What will we cover: Contour and gesture drawing, proportions and perspective, shape and values, mixing skin tones.

Morning (2 hours): Learning about the face:

Facial proportions (front profile)

Perspective (for ¾ profile)

Shape, form and values.

Exercises: blind contour, contour and gesture, watercolor wash

Afternoon (2 hours): Learning to do the body in positions (standing, sitting)

Learning to mix paint colors for face and body

Exercises: blind contour, contour and gesture, watercolor wash

The fee for the 5-hour workshop is $130 and all supplies are included. Class is limited to 10 students.
