Saturday Sampler Art Class at Artsplace

This sampler class will allow students to experience different medias while completing a small work each week based on “one apple!” First, students will learn various pencil techniques such as how to capture correct shape and scale and how to shade from Liz Scott. Next, Bonny Hartigan will introduce gouache and watercolor painting while focusing on shape, form, value and color. Then, they will paint along with Mally DeSomma using pastels on sanded paper. Finally, they will create a three-dimensional piece of an apple using the dry felting techniques taught by Robin McCahill. All levels are welcome in this fun class.
