Pollinator Pathways with Lisa Turoczi of Earthtones Native Plants
February 15 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pmFree
The Conservation Commission of Woodbury is hosting Landscape Designer Lisa Turoczi of Earthtones Native Plants at the Woodbury Public Library. Ms. Turoczi will be giving a talk on Pollinator Pathways and the importance of public and private pesticide-free corridors of native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for pollinating insects and birds.
Lisa Turoczi went to school for Landscape Design at SUNY Cobleskill where she got much hands-on experience in design build; she also worked for greenhouse nursery centers gaining knowledge on propagation. She went on to get a degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry.
Along with her husband Kyle Turoczi, Lisa is the owner of Earth Tones Native Plants in Woodbury, CT. The couple have been working in the Landscape Design business for over 20 years. They have always held the natural world around them in high regard. While creating designs and installations they found it very difficult and frustrating finding a good source for native plant material so they created their own nursery that also allows them to educate and offer the plant material to others.
