From Portraits of People or Pets, to finding beauty in the world around us: Moments Unlost features a collection of drawings and paintings by ShawnaLee W. kwashnak

“Moments Unlost” represents a collection of works that capture moments in time that are now “unlost”.  Children grow quickly,  pets we love share chapters of time with us and moments we experience and share with others come and go fluidly throughout our time.   From portraits of people or pets, to finding beauty in the simple found treasures from nature, Seasons of our lives are reflected in everything noticed and loved.

Each work of art will have information to engage the viewer that also promotes thoughtful reflection.  Learn how an artist interprets visual stimuli into meaningful marks on a flat surface!  Join ShawnaLee in her upcoming Drawing Acorns class at the Kellogg Environmental Center in Derby CT on Saturday December 3nd 2-4pm.

Award winning artist, ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, offers portraits of children, pets, horses, homes in Charcoals or oils.  She is the recipient of two Grants from the FY20 & FY22 CT Artist Respond awarded by DECD/CT Office of the Arts for teaching pandemic portraiture to youth in addition to many awards and publications throughout the years. She is a board member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and a Girl Scout leader.
