Jim Lenn presents: Ovation Guitars

Join musician Jim Lenn for a musical history of the Ovation guitar, a Connecticut built guitar and the music of the late 60’s and early 70’s.

It is more than fair to say that the Ovation guitar, built in New Hartford Connecticut, played a significant role in the singer/songwriter explosion of the late 60’s and early 70’s music scene. The advancements in live sound systems, that occurred at that time, required an instrument that was yet to be produced. The Ovation Guitar Company stepped up to fill that void and propel the singer/songwriter to the forefront of the music scene. In this presentation Jim will explore not only the history of the guitar, but the role the Ovation guitar played during this period as well as enjoy some of the music that was performed at that time on the Ovation guitar.
