Healing Nature of Art – POSTPONED

Experience the Healing Nature of Art!

Please watch for a new date for our “Healing Nature of Art” event, originally planned for Sept. 9.   We are very committed to exploring the concept of how arts can help heal, especially from grief and loss.  We felt that the number of people registered for the event was less than what we thought would make for a meaningful event for everyone involved.  We will be meeting soon to reconsider a date, time and more targeted audience.

Our original concept:

Using theater, visual arts, spoken/written word, and movement, the ACC would present an open, interactive space for insight and expression. Participants would have the opportunity to explore art mediums in workshops facilitated by artists in their respective fields. After gathering at 10 a.m., attendees would choose from a selection of one-hour interactive workshops.  After a lunch break, the same workshops are offered in the afternoon, allowing attendees to then select a second art medium.  A gathering for all after the second workshop would allow participants to share experiences.
