Drawing Acorns with ShawnaLee

Artist ShawnaLee Kwashnak will be offering “Drawing Acorns with ShawnaLee, a hands-on workshop exploring the use of charcoal as a medium at the Woodbury Public Library on Saturday, October 7, 10:00 – 12:00 PM. The free workshop, funded by a generous grant from the Arts Alliance of Woodbury, encourages artists of all levels, disciplines and aspirations to join in. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of traditional drawing materials followed by mark making practice and review of conceptual concepts. ShawnaLee will demonstration each step of the process in an interactive way that builds excitement and confidence. The remaining studio time will be dedicated to sketching from student created still lives of natural subjects. The drawing class is free and open to the public but registration is required. All materials will be provided; participants are also welcome to bring their own supplies to the program.
