Comic Book Workshop for Teens

February 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Do you have an idea for a comic book that you want to bring to life? Maybe a story that can only be told through a graphic narrative? Join artist Lily Mac Hugh for a 4-week comic book workshop for teens in grades 7-12 at the Woodbury Public Library. At the workshop series, teens will learn how to plan, plot and get their story going. From brainstorming ideas, to writing storylines and inking the final pages, this hands-on workshop will help young writers and artists see their vision come to life. All materials are included; students may bring own sketch books if desired.

Lily Mac Hugh graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC with a BFA in Cartooning. She recently received her MFA for Creative Writing from Emerson. She is a librarian who writes speculative fiction and also works on comics and illustrations in her rare moments of spare time.
