The Arts & Culture Collaborative (ACC)

About Us

The Arts & Culture Collaborative (ACC) was created to strengthen and support the arts in the Waterbury region as a central component of furthering economic and cultural development and to enhance the quality of life for area residents. Established in September 2006 under the auspices of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Foundation (a non-profit entity), the ACC serves as a go-to resource for arts and culture. The ACC continues to grow and evolve as it promotes, connects, collaborates, and advocates for the arts.Member-based, the ACC serves individual artists and performers, arts and cultural venues and organizations of all sizes as well as their audiences in the greater Waterbury region and Naugatuck Valley. The towns and cities we serve include:  Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Cheshire, Derby, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Prospect, Seymour, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott and Woodbury. The ACC is grateful for the support of the Arts & Tourism Commission of the City of Waterbury; the Waterbury Regional Chamber; the Connecticut Community Foundation; the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development/Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency; and Connecticut Humanities, which receives support from the State of Connecticut and the National Endowment for the Humanities. As a Regional Cultural Service Organization, the ACC works closely with the CT Office of the Arts and is connected to a statewide network of similar organizations, which facilitates the sharing of information and opportunities in the arts. The ACC Governing Council consists of key leaders from the area’s arts, cultural and business organizations. Services provided by the ACC include marketing, advocacy, facilitating alliances and opportunities for its members and increasing awareness to the community, including collaborative efforts with businesses, municipalities and organizations.
